Anaerobic Digestion
Nature’s nutrient and energy cycle.
Anaerobic digestion (AD) has been utilized for more than 1,000 years and has been widely used in Europe for over five decades. AD is a biochemical process in which microbes break down organic ‘waste’ in an oxygen free environment to liberate useful carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and light metal (e.g. magnesium, sodium, calcium) products.
